Josh Henkin, since day one, has always shown me how thorough he is in all that he does. To no surpirse this bag is just the same. He took the time to plan it out and construct a bag that is heavy duty and VERY versatile. I love the various handles that are on the bag, as opposed to only having handles on the ends of the bag.
The handles that are placed on various spots on the bag ramp up the variations you can use with exercises such as cleans, military presses, front squats and bent over rows. Some may argue using the handles takes away from the grip factor, but, having more variations always adds to the fun of the workout and you can always grab the bag or the outer handles for extra grip work.
My partner had a REAL tough time cleaning the bag using the handles because the weight kept pulling the bag down. It required a different motion than he was used to and certainly turned the clean and press movement into a wrestling match! But, do I think these bags would be great in bulk orders for others? Yes, and primarily for the following: small studio owners, schools & colleges, in home trainers, traveling trainers and general public fitness centers. Incorporating Sandbag Training into Your Routine
When people first try the Sandbag training, I typically prescribe some basic movements at first such as Deadlifts, Squats, Lunges, Overhead Presses, and Bent Over Rows. For some people, these exercises aren't that hard. But I caution them anyway.
Even if these exercise feels easy at first, I don't recommend doing more than a couple sets of each exercise in a full-body Sandbag training session. If you do choose to perform more, you may find that the unique nature of the Sandbag training will lead to muscle soreness in areas that you never knew existed.

Whether you listen to my advice on this matter or not, one thing is certain: When you discover these areas of soreness that you never experienced before, you will KNOW that you just worked stabilizer muscles in areas that most people are concerned about.
Once you have mastered these basic exercises you can then progress to more complicated training exercises such as Snatches, Clean and Jerks, Zercher Lunges, Shouldering Squats, Spider Lunges with the bag strapped onto your back and much, much more!

Still More Benefits To Come
There are many more beneficial things that will occur when you use my special Sandbag training methods. You'll reduce fat on your mid-section, tighten up your arms, hips and legs.
Your lower back and hips will get much stronger and more coordinated from Sandbag training, too. What about training your legs? Sandbag training exercises hit these muscles tremendously!
After you quickly and easily load your Sandbag (I literally just take a contractors garbage bag, dump some sand in it, and tie a knot in it. Done. Simple as that!) you can then hoist the Sandbag onto your shoulder and work your legs in new and interesting ways.
'Shouldering' the Sandbag and then performing exercises such as Squats, Lunges, and Step-Ups will fry your legs in ways you never imagined.
Performing Snatches, Power Cleans, Goodmornings, and Zercher Squats will build tremendous posterior chain strength (those are the muscles on the backside of your body responsible for athletic speed and a 'tight and firm' rear-end).
For those trainees who want to increase CORE STRENGTH, picture this exercise: It's called a 'Turkish Get-Up' and it's a doosy:
Here is how to perform this Abdominal-Strengthening Exercise in 5 Easy Steps:
- Lie completely flat on your back on the floor. Hold the sandbag pinned to one shoulder throughout the entire movement.
- Your goal is to stand up to a completley erect posture with the sandbag on your shoulder.
- The first step is usually to turn to your side and prop yourself up with your opposite hand. Now try to get up on one knee. Now stand up completely and pause for a second or two to catch your breath.
- Reverse the movement until youre back at step one—lying on the floor with the weight still pinned to your shoulder.
- Typically I have my clients perform 2-3 sets of 3-6 repetitions on each side of the body.
Imagine the Abdominal and Low-Back strength and POWER you can get from this exercise alone.
And if you're a stud, you can try your hand at going for a walk with a full-loaded sandbag held with outstretched arms over your head! Believe me, this exercise alone will bring the greatest of all men to his knees, and strengthen muscles that you did not even know existed!
From the Stay-at-Home-Mother to the busy executive, from the strength athlete to the fitness stud, this Sandbag has something to offer for everyone.
How long should you use it?
For most people a full-body training session lasting only 20-30 minutes a day is all you'll need. 10 minutes may even be enough. I have had my clients perform 'Power Circuits' with my Sandbag and it delivers a tremendous training effect in a short period of time.
You'll discover small muscles that you never realized you had after the first couple of training sessions with this sand-filled training tool.
Some of my clients only use my Sandbag for five minutes a day, fitting in short 'mini-workouts' during their days. Even with these short workouts some of my clients have still managed to peel inches off their waists in a matter of weeks. And when my clients go back to the gym to train with free weights and machines they discover that their strength levels have improved dramatically.
